PhD Opportunity in Cognitive Psychology – Paris, France

The LaPsyDÉ Sorbonne Lab is offering a 3-year fully funded PhD position starting October 1st, 2025, under the supervision of Dr. Wim De Neys, to investigate the development of intuitive and deliberate thinking. The research involves behavioral studies with both adolescents and adults.
Project Theme:
The project aims to test a new conceptualization of reasoning that suggests sound reasoners rely on intuition rather than effortful deliberation. It includes applications in development, intervention, and neural prediction.
Requirements:
- Master’s in cognitive, developmental, or social psychology
- Fluent in English and French (spoken and written)
- Experience with experimental design tools (e.g., Qualtrics, Gorilla, Psychopy)
- Proficiency in statistical analysis using R
- EU citizenship or a valid EU visa
