PhD Opportunity in Air Quality and Data Science

Start Date: Fall 2025 / Spring 2026
Dr. Yuzhou Wang is hiring 1–2 self-motivated PhD students to join the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Texas A&M University. The PhD research focuses on air pollution and data science, including:
- Air Quality Model Development: Integrating atmospheric models with machine learning
- Fine-scale Air Pollution Mapping: Using satellite data, low-cost sensors, and remote sensing
- Policy Solutions: Evaluating models to support environmental policy and public health
What You’ll Need:
- Strong interest in air pollution, data science, and environmental policy
- Background in environmental engineering, atmospheric science, or related fields
- Programming skills (Python preferred)
- Prior experience in air quality modeling, machine learning, or remote sensing is a plus
- Strong writing and communication skills
